Victory!
I have to say, I'm happy about Obama's victory in the Democratic primary, but I'm keeping the celebration low-key. There's no time to gloat, the sleeves need to be rolled up and the hard work needs is yet to be done. This will be the first time that I will ever do volunteer work for an election, and down in Texas I am sure it will be needed. (I move in three weeks, hard to believe.) In the meantime, let us have a little victory music, Star Wars style.

I cannot bring myself to be ecstatic. I won't be until Obama announces his running mate. Obama is under tremendous pressure to give Clinton the nod. While I understand the electoral college rationales, there is little that he could do to dishearten me more than to cede to this pressure. I don't hate Senator Clinton, but her political tactics undermine the credibility of his message. Looking forward to your VP post.
